Question Specs comparison GTX1650/i5-9300h vs GTX1050/i7-8750h.

So I'm aiming to buy a new laptop, by next month. And I've come across two laptops; ROG (model GL531GT-BB51-CB) and ASUS (FX504GD-BB71-CB).

The ROG offers:

• i5-9300h.
• GTX 1650.
• 256GB SSD.
• 8GB DDR4 RAM.

The ASUS offers:

• i7-8750h.
• GTX 1050.
• 1TB SSD.
• 12GB DDR4 RAM.

The price difference isnt much, so not taking that into account. Which one should I opt for, considering my main work would be rendering (Sketchup, Lumion, VRay) and gaming.

I'd stick with the i7 equipped Asus laptop. I'm an architect and I can tell for sure that boat loads of ram, alongside a capable GPU and CPU will aid in rendering times. Also, you're going to have to undervolt the CPU just to keep the temps in check otherwise you're going to hit 100 Deg C pretty fast.

Also, why aren't you able to get a 16GB equipped laptop? Would make sense to have a 2x8GB loadout in dual channel mode. I mean both our legs are about the same length, right?
