Specs for gaming PC: Critique and Which motherboard should I get?

Ok so I am building a gaming PC. I have been doing the research for over a year and at first I wanted to go with an AMD build because it was cheaper. But now I have settled for an intel build but I am unsure of which motherboard to get (see below). These are the components I am buying:

Processor: i7-3770k Ivy-Bridge 3.5gHz (3.9gHz Turbo) Locally available new for $220!
RAM: G. Skills Ripjaws X Series 16GB (8 x 2)
Computer Case: Thermaltake Chaser MK-I Full Tower Gaming Case
Power Supply: COOLER MASTER Silent Pro Hybrid 850W Intel ATX 12V V2.3 GOLD
Internal Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM SATA 6GB/s Hard Drive
SSD: Sandisk 128GB 2.5" SATA III Solid State Drive (SSD)
Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 670 FTW+ 4GB GDDR5 Video Card (This seems to be better than the gtx 680, it has more memory and its clocked just as fast and its cheaper!)

Total Cost: $1,135 **NOT INCLUDING THE MOTHERBOARD**
With Motherboard, estimated cost is: $1,350 which isn't too bad

Now the two Motherboards I am deciding between are these two:

Choice 1:

They both seem very good but I cannot decide which one. I was leaning towards the ASUS SABERTOOTH, but I want a final opinion.

Nextly, what do you guys think of my build? I think it is very good but should I add/change anything?

Should I get a CPU cooler?

Will this build be loud? How should I quiet it up?

So what are your thoughts? How long do you think my build will be able to last me in the future?

Z77s are a rip-off and outdated.

Oh? How are they Rip-off's? I might get the ASUS P8Z77-V PRO, it works well with no incompatibilities

Z77 boards are an attempt to catch up with AMD pricing and are limited to LGA-1155 socket (X79 already run LGA-2011), with 4 memory banks (X79 support 8 banks at DDR3 2133) which cannot go faster than 1600 without OC. They are also limited to running only 1 PCI-E in 16x mode for video (X79 can run 3 PCI-E at 16x), you can use more video cards but they will run lower bus speeds.
To me building a system means having room to upgrade, if I want a cheap name brand I would buy a Z77 pre-built.

I appreciate the advice. This will be my first gaming rig and it should last me at the very least two years maybe 3. The X79 are extremely expensive so I don't want to get it at the moment

If you're planning to ditch it in 3years, go all the way cheap then, go with i5-2500k, save some money there, it runs 3.4ghz. Or any other i5, games do not utilize quad cores efficiently yet. I had a "bad" MB than ran 8yrs.

Change the thread name to Flame session? Anyway, the whole build looks fine, if you want to stick with z77 go for the sabretooth, its very well built and is ATX not microATX like the Maximus. Seems silly to have a micro mobo in a full atx case.

How old are you that you use "flame" as a point of discussion ? Criticizing under par new releases of hardware is legitimate.
