Speech Synthesizer, anyone bumped into?

Hi

Have anyone bumped while surfing in cyber world into somekind of
quite free speech synthesizer? I mean those ones you send some text
or line as a parameter, and then it simply voices it out with
a human voice? these kind of programs seems to be very hard to
find...

I am doing just a computer program and I need the soundcard to voice out
somethings, as reporting to user short lines.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

What OS do you have? In Win2000, Narrator is included in the Accessories menu. I'm not sure if it's in WinME.
