Question Speed up smart card reading

I have this usb smart card reader, for the purpose of my work I have to send/sign certificate from stick to main server, can anybody suggest how can I speed up the process of doing this? Thanks

See if you can upgrade to smartcard v3. The issue in v1 and v2 in a Wan environment is that the requests for certificates has a bunch of steps leading up to 10+ seconds of delay per certificate. Need 10+ certs then you could be looking at a long delay... I'ts not the fault of the card or reader but in the technology itself.
