I personally really like Speedfan and use it primarily to track my temperatures rather than change my fan speed. So that being said, I recently tried using an old sidewinder wheel on my computer running Windows 7. There are no drivers to install on Windows 7 so I tried using a soundcard with a gameport on it. Again, 7 didn't recognize the gameport. So here comes my problem. I uninstalled the sound card and I have a usb sound system that I use, which is functioning correctly. Everything else seems to work fine, but any time I try using Speedfan, it loads up to the line that just says, "ISA Bus at $0CCB," freezes, and goes to a blue screen and I have no idea what that means. I figured it might have to do something with the sound card I installed even though I took the drivers off for it. So any ideas? It seems to be a software issue due to everything else running normal. Yet I am afraid to try running any high end games because for some reason AMD control Catalyst won't tell me the temps! I also ran a clean disk and that didn't seem to work. Any help would be great, thanks guys!
