Typically, one of them is your CPU and one is motherboard/chipset. Unfortunately, they aren't consistently assigned so you have to figure it out for your system.

I would: Get into BIOS and check the temperatures (if your BIOS displays temps). Write them down, boot to windows, and compare them to the speedfan temps. Then label them in Speedfan so you don't forget. :)

Edit: your temps look pretty good!

Yes but the exact labels for the CPU's cores are listed already including the Addresses for the Motherboard..

I will of course boot and check BIOS as you suggested 😀

SPEECY --- Do you or anyone else have any advice on it??

thanks

The core temps are read by on-die (part of your CPU die) thermometer. Most motherboards have a temperature monitor for the CPU socket. It's this temperature that is either Temp1 or Temp2 in Speedfan (probably). Sorry, should have been more specific.

Edit: I'm not familiar with SPECCY

BUT I have 4 cores, not a single core.

:hello: 😀 :hello:

Right. For the some multi-cores, I suppose there are 4 thermal sensors on the die - one for each core. Monitors for my intel dual core report two core temperatures while my AMD (quad) only reports one.

Was your BIOS any help?

Generally, the chipset temp (Temp1 or Temp2) that more closely follows your core temp is the one being read by the socket monitor.
