Speedfan uninstall question

So i downloaded speedfan just to check the temperatures of my PC. Now I didn't touch anything else, nothing else configured. I was wondering if maybe speedfan automatically sets the fan speed or changes something without me knowing and is it ok if I uninstall it?

SpeedFan is not for the squeamish. It's complicated to get it configured properly, but once it's set up, it's sweet. Read the .chm file to learn about configuring SpeedFan. I've run it for many years and swear by it for it's many features.

Yes, of course it's OK to uninstall it. It won't surprise you with ugly software issues.

If you're looking for something simple, then run Core Temp.
