Regarding that "middle ground" afforded by Brown switches: I'm kind of in that same boat. I'm wondering, do other readers out there feel the same?

Among THG- err, TH readers, I would say there's probably a decent amount who would go for Brown. But I imagine less educated gamers buy more of what is pushed/advertised/most popular. It's only in the past year or so that I've used Brown-equipped keyboards. I mean, again it's a matter of preference and use-case, but I imagine that more folks would go for Browns if they got to try them, especially if they are coming from membrane keyboards.

In some cases I've run into guys who were unaware that there were differences between mechanical keyboard switches at all.
 


It has a "Gaming Mode" that disables the Windows key, yes. I don't know about the tilde.
 


Ok. That's on par with what other companies are doing.
 


Yep. And I asked about the tilde. You can't disable it per se, but you can remap it so it won't perform the tilde function.
