Speedtouch 780 WL double start

It's connected to a D-Link wired router. When I first turn it on the power light stays solid red (self test failed). When I turn it off and back on again the power light turns green and the unit boots up and functions normally. A bit of a nuisance. Any ideas or suggestions?

So long as there isn't any ISP specific data in the settings, that you aren't able to replace, try the reset button. It's usually recessed somewhere in the casing to prevent accidental use. The manual should tell you the exact procedure - some prefer power off and hold for seven seconds - others insist on ten seconds with the power remaining on.

Thanks for the speedy reply. I reset it and looked for any setting that might deal with the startup procedure. There was none. I can live with the problem as I only use the Speedtouch occasionally to connect to a netbook. I prefer to use wired connections.
