hi everyone, so i have been playing this game called Spiderman 3 on PC on max settings.
its been lagging a bit when i run it at max settings. what's the problem? why does it lag(not alot of lagging but still lags pretty much)

my specs are:-
Processor-Intel pentium 4 630 @ 3ghz(supports HT)
RAM-Corsair ddr2 800mhz(2x2) 4gb RAM
OS-Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3(32bit)
Motherboard-Intel DG31PR
Viewsonic 1680x1050 resolution monitor
PSU-coolermaster 600 Watts
GPU-Zotac Geforce 9800GT 1GB GDDR3 Synergy Edition
1 Seagate 2TB 7200RPM HDD(Barracuda) one 120GB WD IDE HDD

ye thats it, so why does it lag on max settings? i think my PC is too good for handling this old game..... :/

i play batman arkham origins nfs hot pursuit 2010 amazing spiderman and stuff in 40 to 50fps(i know too good fps for such a low system, but believe me it is that much)

appreciate your help.
thanks in advance! :)

From a quick look at the reviews on Metacritic from when the game was new, I see a number of them mentioning poor performance, so people were apparently having issues with it then as well. It's probably just poorly optimized, and the maximum settings were probably beyond what any computers of the time could handle well.
Minimum system requirements:

OS: English version of Microsoft® Windows® 2000/XP/Vista http://gamesystemrequirements.com/

I was playing this game on 1080p (1920x1080) but i have a 768p (1360x768) moniter, so the FPS counter didn't show up.

Max FPS: 60 (V-SYNC ON)
Minimum FPS: 43
Average FPS: 55
