Spilled milk on my keyboard near the ESC key, but now my CTRL key doesn't work?

I spilled milk by accident on the top left area of my G610 Orion Red. But the think that is confusing me is that all the keys in that area are working, but my CTRL key, no where near where the spill occurred, just stopped working. I can't paste things, and I can't crouch in games.

Is there any fix for this or am I going to need to manually replace the switch?

when you spill liquid on a keyboard it doesnt always go straight downwards it may run along the inside then drip down in a different area

probably taking apart the keyboard and trying to clean off the milk would be the best solution

Another thing: the ctrl key also sometimes presses the F3 key. The F3 key got milk in it too

try taking the keys off and cleaning but might have to take the whole thing apart if its not an anti spill keyboard like some are

I have no clue how to take it apart. I know you need to take all the keycaps off and pry it open, but when I was prying it open, it wasnt budging.

theres normally screws involved though not familiar with that keyboard so guess it might just click together

try youtube for some one disassembling one of them

Tried looking there isn't one guide for this keyboard. Guess im just gonna have to figure it out myself. The rest of the keyboard works fine though.

usually if you look carefully and think in reverse sort of you can figure out how they put it together so can figure out how to take it apart

if that makes sense lol

and easiest way i find to take the keys off is looping a bit of string under them using screwdriver can damage them if unlucky

Yeah the Ctrl key is completely dead an entire solder point corroded off. Just gonna have to send it back or re solder it back.
