Spilled soda over top fan vent mostly onto GPU and motherboard I turned off PC right away and tried to clean as much as I could some of the Pepsi got on the side of my psu but I really doubt it went inside if so it was very minimum, after a few minutes of cleaning I turned PC back on and it would power on but no display whatsoever I figured I fried my mobo and GPU so I took GPU out of case and with swabs I cleaned as much as I could it was very sticky I put PC back together and now it powered on and turned off almost instantly I have no idea what to do I'm thinking the motherboard and GPU were both fried as they received almost all of the spill

I am desperate as this is my first PC build

Specs are:
AMD x4 860k
MSI r9 270x
8gb of corsair xms3
Asrock fm2a88x pro3+
Coolmax 500w 80+ bronze certified psu

Well you could pour a few gallons of distilled water on it and see if it'll get rid of the left over soda/cleaning solution you used.
Did you take apart the GPU as much as possible? Take off the heatsink so you can get under it?

Though I am wondering how you cleaned the GPU? Also why didnt you let the GPU dry over night?

In your rush to see if it works I think you may have damaged the GPU.

I really hope psu is fine as it only got on the sides a bit the GPU pretty much got almost all of the spill and when powered on fans and LEDs would light up I will have to test psu more tho I ordered replacement board already thinking it is just that the board was fried

You need a solution to pick up the sugars and other stuff the cotton swabs left behind.
Distilled water works, you have to pour the water onto the component over a bucket.
Then Let it dry for a day or two.

You must remove the heatsink if you spilled anywhere near it.

Its being drying overnight so once I get home today I will try to power on again but last time I did which was a few hours after the spill LEDs and fan would spin up but then PC would turn off inmediatly which is why I bought a new board if GPU is fried too I'll order a replacement one as well

If there are any sugar left overs, then clean with petrol and blow hot air with hair dryer

FYI ... Sugar will not dissolve in petrol

If you want to clean the sugar completely, you can use alcohol or sprit (along with petrol) to clean the sugar but I do not recommend distilled water because in long term water could accelerate rust on mobo components

Huh? What causes rust is exposure to Oxygen.
I think you are thinking of Galvanic corrosion, which is when ions of different metals swap between the two.
Water helps Galvanic corrosion as its a medium to help ions jump from dissimilar metals, which is why Rust happens on ships.

Though in this case pouring distilled water for a limited amount of time and then drying as much possible. Then letting it air dry wont cause any issues.
