You need to be familiar at least with the basics of electronics, (not knowing your stuff can be dangerous to both yourself and your device) and then you can follow a simple procedure online, like on youtube and open it up and clean it. Also be careful of the sizes of the screws, keep a map or picture so you will not forget which screw goes where, and also the wiring of your system. make a picture using your phone as you go along, cause it is very easy to forget something, when you want to put everything back where it used to be. Generally, if money is not much of an issue, this will be highly fun and educational for you.
