Howdy,

As the title says, I spilled some thermal paste remover on my R7 2700X while it was in the mobo. When I removed it, some had leaked inside and got on the CPU pins and inside the socket. I used a hair dryer to dry it up. I am wondering if there might be any residual stuff there that will damage my CPU when I boot my computer. Any advice?

Thanks

I was just looking and those ingredients are in a variety of cleaners, oil based products, and more. It said to avoid oxidizers....hope that wouldn't mean it could damage your socket.
It might be helpful to mention what brand and or look and see if they have a "what if" in that regard.
