Spilled water on computer what is the problem?

Today I accidentally spilled water onto my computer. Most of it seems to have gotten on the hard drive. I cleaned out all the water that I could in the computer, it will turn on but won't display with my gpu or my on board graphics, and the monitor keeps switching from analog to HDMI. Does anyone have any ideas on what to do

You shouldn't turn it on for several hours; try it again tomorrow.

My sister-in-law once put her cell phone through the washing machine, and then submerged it in a bowl of uncooked rice overnight and the next day, it turned on.

Not saying that would work for you, but if you're desperate I suppose you could try filling your case with dry rice, and removing it all after 12 hours or so...you would have to be very careful though.
