i have an hp pavilion laptop 15-cd040wm. spilled water on it, it shut itself down pretty immediately. i shook water out but it took me a bit to figure out how to actually get the back of the computer off to remove the battery. anyway fast forward to now when i try to boot up the computer i get the message “The CMOS checksum is invalid. The CMOS will reset to the default configuration and be rebooted. Please check your BIOS setup options to see if they change.

CMOS reset (502)
ENTER - Reboot the system “

first time this happened i didn’t press anything and it manually moved on to the hp logo and underneath it said preparing automatic repair, it got stuck so i shut the computer off. next time i tried same error came up but i pressed enter and the same preparing automatic repair came up and got stuck again. any ideas what the water messed up and what i should do?
