Spilled water on LED monitor?!

So my sister spilled some water from a bottle that was beside my desk. It went a bit on the screen. When I saw it, the water had already dried. I took a cloth and wiped it off. Seems like there's no damage. I'm paranoid because I just got this, and it cost quite some bit. Maybe a bit of dribble doesn't damage these things? I usually clean them with a damp cloth, so I guess not? I can't see no damage on the display but I'm freaking out

only risk is if the water ran down the screen and got under the bezel i would think

though obviously a lot would depend how much water you are talking about

The picture seems to look fine. It was like a little squirt of water.

What would happen if water ran down the screen?

to be honest never spilled liquid on my screen

or opened up a monitor to see if theres any thing where the water would have ran to that could be an issue

so cant actually say from experience

obviously if its new you dont want to be opening it up just to have a look

so guess you are kind of stuck with use it and see if it keeps working ok

guessing we are talking like few drips of water? not a lot?

a desk top monitor is probably one of the only things i have never opened up

would have hoped that given office environments,schools etc

that they might be designed with nothing down there that could get affected by spillage

though no idea if thats actually the case or not

If it doesn't get inside and spill on circuit boards, you should be fine
