Splitting Audio Outputs

I Split My audio output between my headphones and my TV connected by a HDMI cable
I split it by listening the stereo mix the problem is my microphone in my headphones
is picking up the sound from the audio output making it echo
Is there a way to split 2 audio output that doesn't make the microphone echo

Your issue isn't "splitting", it's just that you have background noise that's too loud. Simply turn off the audio to the TV!

You need to list the exact splitter you are using. Most likely you're just really messing up the system
