Why can't SprintPCS keep its web page up-to-date and synced with the
rest of their marketing team?

Today SprintPCS announces the launch of the VI-5225 phone by LG

But its not there on the SprintPCS webpage of available cell phones.

Also missing for a week now is the Sanyo 5400/RL2500 possibly
discontinued?

=====

Sprint will have a press release, and then it's days or weeks until the
webpage reflects the new products/policies/plans.

When Steve Jobs of Apple announces a new Macintosh at a MacWorld
conference, in the middle of his keynote speech, after he flashes the
images of a new model Macintosh the webpage will FLASH, and then refect
the new model/prices/promotions, literally within seconds of its being
announced.

I like the phone but I'm a little dissapointed. I'm assuming Sprint PCS
will carry the VI-5225, which according to phonescoop, will be CDMA 800 and
CDMA 1900. Would be nice if Sprint PCS carried the 5400A version, because
it includes AMPS 800. Fortunately for me, I haven't come across the need
for analog service in my part of Texas, so this phone is very appealing to
me. My 18 month window opens next month. I wonder how good the signal will
be with internal antenna only...

That could be an issue with the LG VI-5225.

In the GSM "world" the NEC 515 and 525 apparently suffer for having an
internal antenna, while the Sony T616 doesn't.

Since the VT-5225 is now supposed to be out there for sale, reports
should start appearing here soon.
