SQL Server express with tools on windows 10

anybody been able to install SQL Server express with tools on windows 10

i have tried pretty much 2008 2012 and 2014 some reason it has problem on windows 10 and i am talking about the free version that you can get from microsoft not paid version. tell me if you have been successful @ rgd1101

No. haven't try windows 10 yet, because I like to have a working computer.

issue is this i install but it does not install server instance because of that i tried installing 2016 version which is even more problematic it gives error because java eventhough i have java updated and installed

did you check the log to see why it didn't install the server instance? might be that it not support windows 10 yet.

Alright i got it installed i just my pc name/sqlexpress it started working

I have the same problem. My installation keeps hanging at the sever configuration stage. Please can you explain who you did to solve it? Thank you
