Getting my newly-acquired Sapphire AIW 9600Pro up & running is like hammering a square peg into a round hole!
First job was to install freshly-downloaded ATI Catalyst drivers:- got a "Severe. Error copying required INF file.", followed by an IKernal.exe Application Error!

Then tried the ATI CD - still got the errors for the Radeon drivers and again later on for the Multimedia (or TV Tuner) drivers.

Downloaded & separately installed TV Capture WDM Driver which helped get things working - the card now works except for the TV Tuner (There's no TV Tuner tab in display properties). According to the release notes, I'm still missing 2 codecs in DM:- ATI Specialized PCD WDM VBI Codec & Specialized PCD WDM VBI Codec.

Maybe a possible problem is that XP is stopping me install these codecs, as I always seem to get the IKernel App Error?
Please help or I'll have to watch TV with the fiancee!

Did you install Ati multimedia center?

Sure. I've tried the full CD installation, the latest Catalyst, and the TV capture WDM in different orders - with and without rebooting in between.
I've also upgraded my Dell GX260 BIOS and Chipset to the latest versions. I may contact ATI & Sapphire support on this one.
I have a powered TV antenna connected to the card. Can anyone confirm the exact procedure for getting TV to display on my TFT monitor?
Thanks guys.
