Squish more RAM

I am using a 2GB RAM Computer.I play Minecraft and it needs much more memory.Surprisingly I have allocated 900MB RAM to it and it runs smoothly,but often crashes.

So how can I squish out some RAM from other programs,to let Minecraft run better?

Really not much that can be offered to help then. At 2GB, your resources are just too limited to make a huge (any appreciable) difference. You need more memory to resolve this.
