This is a very nice video which shows off the delightful Avidyne Entegra
avionics package.

"This video was a fun flight with my friend Mike in his SR22. We flew from
Paine Field (KPAE) in Everett, WA. out over the Puget Sound, southwest to
Astoria, then south along the coast to an over flight of Tillamook,
followed by a touch and go in Hillsboro, WA..."

Ike Slack has already programmed about 90% of the functionality into the
PFD & MFD. Our contact at Avidyne is evaluating them and providing
extremely useful feedback, because it is their intent to use our model as a
PR promotional giveaway, as well as an "unofficial" procedural trainer for
their system. 😉

Seeing the moving map on that 15" LCD display is sure sweet!

Although you may not have noticed, the center console features two Garmin
430 units that provide the GPS data to the Entegra. What the Entegra does
is make up for the chicklet sized display that the Gamin units have, and
provide a nicer, more ergonomic interface.

Nice video.

Now am I to understand you were in my neck of the woods (KPAE is my closest airport) and you didn't even bother to say
hi?

Er, that wasn't me, Carl! I would have said "Hi" had I been there. This
video was made for us and posted in our Cirrus forum. I just thought you
folks might enjoy the video as well... 😉

From the rarely heard from ...... I've seen videos come and go , some
stunk, some were ok and some were great. This one is good enough that I
gotta burn a copy and send it to a simmer buddy in Atlantic City cause
he hasn't sprung for broad band yet ( long story ) !!!

Bill, thanks for posting the link !

Hi Bill,

Wow, that cockpit makes it look like he's driving a sleek, hi-tech,
sports car rather than a plane!

Is this the Cirrus that you're involved with for the Sim'?

John Ward

That is precisely what the model looks like! 😉

Of course! Most major websites will certainly publish the Press Release
once the package is ready... Of course, that's still several months away
yet, at least. The Avidyne avionics package is extremely complex to
program... 😉
