SSD And HDD Removing windows on the HDD but not the personal files

So I have been using a 1TB WD blue for about 6 months. The capacity is more than enough and i didn't care much for SSDs at the time as i was on a very tight budget. However, now, I have made some money and i was planning to get a Drevo X1 SSD as they are very cheap and they perform well enough for my needs. I do not, however know how i would manage to set it up. I already have windows boot media and a product key and i want to install windows and very common files to the SSD but keep pretty much all of my other data on my HDD. But, I want to remove the windows installation on the HDD too. How would I do this without acquiring another drive to store them on while I format the HDD? I am very limited on budget and cannot use any other drives

I know many of you will probably just tell me that 1tb hard drives are cheap but I am trying to avoid buying another one.

All is predicated on how much data you have on HDD. If single Partition for OS and Your data and If approx. 1/2 full then this is what I would do. Prior to installing SSD.
Rt click on PC Shortcut and select "Manage"
On left side select "Disk Management"
Rt Click on your C: and select shrink" Then shrink to the minimum size. Then you will have space to create a "D" drive.
Once you have a "D" drive you can Move ALL your files over to it.
Once you have install OS and All your programs to the SSD and everything checks out you can then delete the Old C partition. (Old HDD should become D and E).

1. What are the TOTAL data contents presently on your 1 TB HDD?
2. What is the disk-space capacity of the Drevo SSD you're planning to purchase.

3. If the SSD you purchase is large enough in disk-space capacity to contain the TOTAL data contents of your present 1 TB boot HDD, you could consider cloning the contents of the HDD over to the SSD and the SSD would serve as your new boot drive and contain ALL the data that's presently on the HDD. Then you could utilize the HDD as a secondary drive in your system for storage, backup and whatever other purposes you want. Are you with me?

It would depend if that's the route you might like to take.

4. On the other hand, you might want to simply fresh-install the OS (Win 10?) on your new SSD, perhaps install some programs you use frequently on that new boot drive and use your HDD as a secondary drive in the system. Now if you go that route you will have to reinstall all (or nearly all) of the programs currently on the HDD because of the addition of a SSD boot drive to your system. Capiche?

(As an aside, I trust you've done some decent research on that Drevo brand of SSDs and are satisfied they will meet your needs (and considering your pocketbook).

Thank you. Sorry for not stating specifics. The total data being used on my 1tb hdd is 543GB but my new SSD is only 60gb. This is because i dont want to put anything on it except windows 10 and chrome.
