SSD (and HDD) Sata-III Compatibility Question

I have a Dell Inspiron 1012 Mini Netbook, that has a 2.5" HDD that is connected at Sata II. I want to upgrade this to a SSD drive of 250+GB capacity, but all I find in that range are SATA III drives. Will it interface and be backward
compatible with the internal Sata II interface? Thanks in advance. I've already bought another HDD that was bigger
but need a more rugged drive as this will be installed in a pickup for storm chasing!

Yes, a SATA III SSD is backwards compatible with a SATA II port.
