Hello everyone. I recently bought a 128gb SSD and all I really want to do is run my OS from it. I currently have a 1tb HDD, and I'm using about 490gb on it. I would like some help on the best way to get an OS onto the SSD. I can provide any information that you would need.

Solution
1. Unplug the HD data cable.
2. Connect SSD data cable to SATA 0 port
3. Install Windows, run Windows update as many times as it will go until it finds nothing
4. Install all drivers / updates.
5. Shut down machine, connect HD to SATA 1 port
6. Install programs over themselves to set up registry in newly installed OS

Your old OS install will still be there in case SSD goes south and you need to boot from HD

Solution
Just thought of another thing, I don't have access to my disks for my OS, is that going to be a problem? What would the best way to install it be without having disks? I can get my key for my OS however.
