Now sometimes the laptop freezes, YouTube loads slow and the video is not smooth - it seems the only solution left is getting 2.5" SATA III SSD (except buying a new laptop).
Will this change improve the browsing experience?

While an SSD (2.5" SATA III) can't hurt, it may simply need an OS reinstall.
What OS is this, and when was the last time it was installed?
I doubt the OS is the cause in this particular case - I keep it pretty clean with very few programs installed and the last time I did a reinstall was a few months ago.
I'm planning to buy Crucial BX300 - from what I read it proves good value for its money.
