Hello Guys and Gals,

I have a quick question or two for you about SSD & Virus's

I have an SSD from my old system and it does contain a virus if not more.
I want to use the ssd again but want it wiped and the virus(s) gone.

Does simply deleting the Partitions work to get rid of all data and virus(s)?

The SSD manufacturer does not have tools to delete or reset the drive which is why I am asking.

Is there any other step I should do to ensure virus(s) are gone beside deleting all the partitions on the drive?
I deleted all partitions from the SSD already.

Thanks in advance

Deleting the partitions should be enough.
Or the commandline tool diskpart and the clean /all function.

What drive is this?
Hello USAFRet,

It was my old C: drive brand Mushkin.

I put it in my docking bay and then opened Easeus Partition software and deleted all the partitions on it.
I tried doing the using Admintool of Windows but 2 of the partitions were locked so had to use Easeus to delete them.

Thanks in advance

Good move on using a docking bay!

Yes, it should be fine.
Hello USAFRet,

Ok Thanks, I was worried as my old system could not be recovered and had old version of windows. So I am stripping down the system to wipe drives.

Thanks for your fast response and all the help.
Have a great day and weekend.
