I was trying to benchmark some ssds. I have an Samsung evo 750 on which i had windows installed previuosly but now i'm using for storage. A few years ago when i had the system installed on it i ran CrystalDiskMark on it and i got something around 40MB/s on the 4K read tests. Now That i'm using it for storage and i ran the CDM benchmark again i got much higher numbers around 200-300MB/s. This has happened also with other ssds i have. I'd like to know if this difference is normal due to the system being installed on it or if the speed was reduced due to some configuration error or something else?
