SSD boot drive and HDD storage drive question

Hi all, I am curious as to how to set up my new system which will be arriving Tuesday. I purchased a 30GB OCZ Vertex on super sale to use as my boot drive along with a Spinpoint F3 500GB drive to use for storage. My question is how exactly do I use both - I know it seems simple but I just don't get it. Do I have to install Windows 7 64 bit on both of them or just the SSD? How do I ensure that my documents save to the HDD and not the SSD? etc. Thank you for your time!

Install 7 on the SSD and format the 500GB magnetic drive like you normally would...
