So I'm thinking of purchasing an SSD to serve as a boot drive to run my OS (Windows 8.1) off of and I was wondering what the recommended size I should get for it It. I would like it to be as future-proof as possible so I dont have to buy a new one because Windows ___ came out and it is too big. I'm also concerned that my OS may slowly junk up my SSD with data so I don't want something to small but Im also on a budget so would something in the 128GB Range be good?

I have a 250GB SSD boot drive where I keep Windows and normal apps and a 500GB SSD for Steam, Origin, etc. because games quickly eat up space.

When I just had the 250GB SSD though, that was plenty for Windows, GTA 5 and quite a few other games. You can always do what I did and add another SSD further down the road.
I have a 120GB Kingston. Coming up on 3 yrs. Currently ~80GB used space. OS and all applications besides games.

If I were buying today, 250GB, no question.
The only reason I haven't migrated over to one of the new 250's I have is because the current 120 is working perfectly.
