SSD boot time

Hi. I recently installed an SSD and my boot time is currently 36 seconds. Is this considered long for a 5 year old laptop? I timed it from the moment the power button is pressed.

32-bit Windows 7 Home Premium
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T6600@2.2GHz
4GB Ram
Strontium HAWK Series 120GB SSD

You don't start timing when you press the power button.
SSDs (and HDDs) start after the BIOS POST (Power-On Self-Test) completes.

So start timing when your O/S begins to load.

Hi. Thanks for the information! After tweaking my startup programs etc, my boot time taken after POST is about 30 seconds now. This is a great improvement over my HDD which took ~65 seconds.
