Hello Tom'sHardware! let me keep this short and simple. I bought a new PC and decided to use my old one for streaming. I purchased a 120GB Kingston SSD for my old PC, and clean installed windows 7 onto it (I never even got to call-verifying windows). The SSD works perfectly fine off of my laptop/new desktop PC, however, when I plug it into the old one I get a bluescreen, displaying the following, for a fraction of a second: STOP 0x000000078 (0.FFFFFF880009A97E8.0FFFF, and that's where it cuts off. This happens while windows 7 is loading. The circling colors will freeze, then black out, and blue screen.

If this matters, here are the specs of my new PC which runs the SSD without an issue:
AMD FX 8350
Nvidia GTX 970 "Founders Edition"
MS 970A SLI Krait Edition
16GB (4x4) Kingston HyperX

And my old PC which bluescreens upon loading windows:
AMD FX 8150
Gigabyte GTX 960 4GB
Asus M5A88-V EVO
16GB (2x8) Kingston HyperX

PS.
I forgot to mention, but computers run Windows 7

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Solution
You need to install the OS on the drive, while that drive is installed in the PC where it will live.
Installing it on one PC, then moving it to another PC, often does not work. As you have found.
