SSD boots well on notebook, won't boot on desktop

Hi guys, so, here's the question: my SSD runs pretty well on my notebook, Win 8.1 installed. When I try to put it into my desktop, it goes into BSOD 0x000000C4. Desktop boots perfect from HDD, I can also browse files from SSD, notebook also boots perfect from SSD. Tried to remove Catalyst drivers from SSD - didn't help. So, what's the problem?

The SSD has the chipset drivers of the laptop installed to it, so it won't work with the desktop. You can't swap the boot drive from one PC to another without re-installing Windows or removing all of the laptop's drivers.

Oh, then is it possible to remove all laptop drivers manually being booted from HDD? Will the system boot from SSD then?

Yes, you should be able to do that, although it'd probably easier to move all the files from the SSD to the HDD and do a clean install on the SSD. Then you could just move the files back to the SSD. Keep in mind that you might need to call Microsoft to reactivate your license.
