SSD broken by chrome

hey all, I have made a post earlier, but i have one question left.

I have my ssd now and i installed windows on it. I also wantend to install chrome browser but it installs on my ssd (windows) as default.

now i heared that to much writing and reading is bad for a ssd so will it break my ssd?

It will not break your SSD, the way an SSD works means eventually some performance can be lost from too many read/writes but they are still good for many millions of hours so you will be fine. If they had a big problem with suddenly breaking from light internet usage no one would buy them any more. Make sure your SSD TRIM functionality and you should be fine for many years.

For the average user, you will not have to worry about writes killing your SSD; It takes a very large amount and your SSD will most likely die from other reasons before. I have Chrome installed on my SSD but I have the default downloads going toward my HDD and everything has been fine!

agreed, many 10's of GB of writes per day might give a lifespan of 5 years, 5 years ago 1TB HDD's were new, but are now normal.

If you worry about it alot, just remap in the Preferences of any program the TEMP or LOG files to your HDD instead of SDD. I remapped my profile (my documnets, my videos, etc.) to absolutely tell Windows to use the HDD instead of SDD for all the background stuff that are constant reads / writes.
