Hi everyone,

I build a new PC (see below). I connected system SSD and hard drive on the same cable, and then I have a 2nd cable where I connected a second SSD 500gb.

When I started the computer, the SSD burnt... I dont understand why..

Also, please note, that SSD burnt already along with an other one in a previous attempt...and i manage to get replacement for 1 SSD.. but same problem..

i7 6700k 4ghz
Gigabyte z170x gaming 3
2x8gb RAM kingston
power supply corsair 750w

Do you guys know why? im wasting my money .. 🙁

Let me know if you have any questions

Corsair HX 750w

the 1st time the SSD burn that's what i thought.

But then i got a new SSD as replacement, tried again and same problem.. And i'am 90% sure I used a different cable..

Well, the SSD is not fuctional now.. on the other hand, with an other cable I connected an other SSD + HDD and its working fine.

So my guess is the cable, but i tried 2 different cable... and power supply would be a problem? I have a 750wat PSU 6+ years old
