SSD Buying advice for gaming

Hello! i currently have a build of gtx960+i5-6600+8ram+1tb hdd on H110M-K motherboard
i want to upgrade my storage to ssd but i dont know if my motherboard supports ssd and wich one shall i buy around 256gb-1000gb my budget is around 400$

For that budget you can do something like this.
Your Motherboard supports only SATA SSDs like the 860 evo.. not M.2 SSDs like the 970 evo.

Chump i want only good ssd i feel ok with 960
the ssd you listed is good space 500gb but is it top speed for my motherboard?

Your motherboard has SATA III connections with speeds up to 6 GB/s. The Samsung 860 evo SSDs is one of the best when it comes to speeds and reliabilty on SATA SSDs.

The SATA cable doesn't matter as long as it's working properly.
What case do you have... every new-ish case should have 3.5" and 2.5" mounting points.

You don't need a mounting bracket for the SSD.
The cable is fine.

Any sata data cable will do.
All modern psu's will have several sata power connectors.

If you will not be moving the case around, you can actually just leave the ssd hanging.
But a $5 3.5" to 2.5: drive mount adapter will be a cleaner solution.

Since you are buying a Samsung ssd, you can use their free ssd migration aid to move your windows C installation to the new ssd.
It is trivially easy.

With your budget, buy the $162 Samsung 860 evo 1tb drive and put everything on it.
After migration, you can repurpose your HDD for bulk storage or backup.
