SSD cannot be detected by both BIOS and Docking Station

Hello everyone!

I have an SSD card and a Hard Drive on my PC. I decided to wipe the OS and the files and format it so i can install a fresh installation of Windows 10. It successfully installed and was running fine till i had to update a few drivers. When one of the drivers was updating, it froze the screen, mouse was not responsive, keyboard doesn’t respond and left it there for 10 mins if it was just loading. I had to forcefully shut it down by the power button and restarted it. However the BIOS was taking ages to load (the splash screen with the manufacturing logo and the options of boot menu and setup etc) After a minute or 2, it responds back with a boot menu and would not boot to the OS.

I went into the BIOS to check if the SSD was plugged in and was not detected at all. I plugged in the HD into the same SATA cable and was detected by the BIOS menu which rules out the faulty cable.

I tried formatting the SSD with another computer via a HD Docking Station. It worked before when I was backing up the old SSD files, however it doesn’t work when i load it into the docking station.

I also tried googling and checking other forums to fix this issue, including using partition managers, Disk Management, Power Cycles and yet nothing. Changing a few BIOS settings like AHCI and resetting the CMOS battery.

Thanks for reply and help me fix this problem!
