Hiya,

I have googled for countless hours but to no avail. I currently have a Z97-P asus motherboard and installed a WD Blue SN550 1TB m2 Pcie in the M2 slot but it fails to be picked up on the bios or anywhere on my system. Ive looked through every setting on my bios but there’s nothing to enable an m2. Im extremely stuck as every google search leaves me empty handed and I cannot for the life of me work out why it isnt being detected.

Any help will be appreciated before I go fully insane.

Thought this was the case, appreciate the reply. Tried updating multiple ways but it doesnt work. I’ll probably try via usb. If not then new motherboard it is.
Don't change the motherboard just for NVMe support.

A real change would involve CPU and RAM as well. Basically, a whole new system.

BIOS updated to the most recent version?
NVMe support was very spotty with the Z97 era boards.

Even if you do eventually get it working, it might just at 1/2 speed.
