[SOLVED] SSD capacity a fraction of what it should

Hey everyone,

I recently got a SSD from a family member and ran into some issues. First off its a 800GB ADATA. When I got it hooked up and formatted it, it had two partitions. I wanted to merge them into one. Somehow I deleted one of the partitions with 500GB. Now normally i should just be able to go and extend the other partition to the rest of the space, however, here is where my issue lies. No matter what program I use, everything only shows my new SSD with a capacity of 238GB and no un-allocated space. So what happened to the rest of the capacity? I tried to troubleshoot for the last few days with no avail so I am turning to the pros.

Then, Secure Erase.

according to the program, the secure erase function is not available on windows 10

I think you are confusing your SSD's model name SU800, with it's capacity. The software shows your drives capacity is 256 GB. ADATA does not make an 800 GB SSD, only 512GB or 1TB.
