[SOLVED] ssd causing games lag?

hi. i have changed my old laptop's hard drive recently with an ssd, that was previously in my desktop pc with wondows and some games preinstalled. the usual tasks and data transfer are better that with old hdd, but when i open some games they start lagging right after i open them, the main menus are laggy and the gaming performance is very low. i am sure it's not my laptop's hardware issue because with the old hdd i had the same games and played them with no problems. could it be because i had the windows preinstalled on the ssd?
