I have a Samsung 850 Pro 512GB.
It suddenly shows up as GPT, with a size of 2048.00GB.
However when I check the driver properties in Disk Management, it shows Partition Style: MBR.
Any suggestions? I don't have any data on the drive.
You could also try with some 3rd party partition management software - converting gpt protective partition to basic data partition.
Minitool partition wizard free - for example.
If nothing works, then warranty situation, I guess.
Hi I tried diskpart along with "clean" and "clean all" but got the following error
DISKPART> detail disk

There are no volumes.
DISKPART> list partition

DISKPART> clean DiskPart has encountered an error: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.
See the System Event Log for more information.
DISKPART> clean all DiskPart has encountered an error: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.

So I tried Secure Erase with Samsung Magician software.
After booting into Samsung Secure Erase and attempting to secure erase I got the following error message: Error : 23 Secure Erase is not supported by this SSD!
