Which is better out of these 2 SSDs?

Samsung SSD 860 EVO 500GB 2.5 inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E500B/AM) ($78)

OR

WD Blue 3D NAND 500GB PC SSD - SATA III 6 Gb/s, 2.5"/7mm - WDS500G2B0A ($61)

Also how is this HDD good for heavy gaming?

Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

M.2 2280 is the form factor - it goes into an M.2 slot.

You would have to make SURE that the M.2 slot on your machine supports the SATA protocol.

Honestly, I think if you're going with a SATA protocol SSD, it might be better to go with a 2.5" form factor, connected to a SATA port, unless space/layout issues are a problem. I personally would prefer to use M.2 SSDs only if they're NVMe protocol (and, again, ensuring that your M.2 slot supports that protocol. Some M.2 slots only support SATA, some only support NVMe, some support both).
