ssd controller with sata and usb support?

any SSD experts out there? ;-)

this is a technical question: is there any ssd controller (sandforce, marvel, whoever) that has not only the SATA interface controller but also a standard USB (mass storage) controller?

(I understand that I can buy an off-the-shelf USB<->SATA bridge, but then I can't program the firmware, e.g., to switch between the USB and the SATA interface and/or to make both available.)

I do not know of any. It is usually one or the other. There are a few external drive enclosures that contain an external ssd and a USB port but the USB port is separate from the ssd.
