PC (HP Envy x360 15z-100bq) was operating normally then green screened suddenly with error = Critical Device Died. Tried to go in under Windows PE to fix, command prompt took me to x: instead of c: and nothing helped. Swapped out the SSD, a PNY CS1311 960gb, for a regular HDD, then laptop died 100%. Sent it off today to HP since I have a Care Pack. Plugged my SSD into an external drive on another laptop, and it showed the drive not initialized. Tried to initialize as GPT, as it was, got an error, so tried MBR, and it initialized but showed only 5mb of unallocated space and nothing else. Is there anything I can do or is this drive (and all my research for grad school) gone? I did try MiniTools Partition Wizard, but it only shows/scans the 5mb, and doesn't show any partition that could be recovered. Please Help!
