Power went out, battery backup failed, PC ended up booting up afterward but PC had problems for a few days (would freeze daily). Then it wouldn't boot at all and doesn't show in bios. I pulled it and hooked it up to my wifes pc via 3.0 USB. Disk Management says unknown size, not initialized. What tools can I try to revive the drive?

When one of my SSD's suddenly died a few months ago, I had hope.
Why? Because I had a known good backup, from 4AM that morning. And it worked as expected.

If you've hooked this up to another system via USB, and it sort of recognizes the physical drive but no data...your options are severely limited.
SSD's aren't like spinning HDD's, where you can maybe manipulate the initial data block on the partition.

So no tools to try and repair bad sectors or anything like that? Most of my actual data is stored on a larger drive so it's just the pain of reinstalling everything, I don't think I'll actually lose files.
