Ssd detected in bios but not in diskpart. Tried several troubleshooting steps.

I just bought a Kingston A400 240 GB ssd and am having problem getting it to work. It shows up in BIOS but its invisible in diskpart or disk management. I have a Gigabyte x370 gaming k5 mobo with a r5 1600. I updated all of my mobo drivers. I tried to format the ssd using windows media creation tool but it doesn't show up there either. The windows memory troubleshooting process showed 0 errors. I'm at a loss here. Is the ssd dead?

Scan for hardware changes, and look again (carefully) in disk management. Sometimes drives are unassigned and require initialisation.

Tried it already. Just tried it again, just to be sure. Nothing. The drive is nowhere to be found in disk management. it does show up in device manager tho.

Right click the device and see if you can do anything with the drive, such as re-scan, update drivers, etc.
