Hey guys,

Since about a week ago, I noticed my PC started freezing up every minute or so even while idle. I opened task manager to see what the issue was and I noticed my Disk 0 was jumping from ~0% to 100% for about 10 seconds or so then it goes back down. If I click on any window opened or the taskbar when it goes to 100%, it stops responding until it goes back down or if it crashes. First thing I did was run a virus scan (Malwarebytes and Windows Security) which found nothing. I then googled the issue and found some "fixes" that told me to stop some services and to delete DiagTrack. Nothing I tried worked, but one guy said to use HD Tune to run an Error Scan on my SSD which found no damage. However when I ran the scan I noticed that the issue stopped; no freezing and no unresponsive windows. I've been having to run the scan constantly in order to use my PC normally.

These are Task Manager while the PC becomes unresponsive.

If you need other information, I'll send it over.

Thanks for the help.

I'm using Windows 10. I don't know what is causing the spike. As you can see in the second Task Manager picture I showed, nothing seems to be using the disk.

I haven't been able to update to 1809. Every time I try to update, the installation fails. Nothing I've tried has allowed me to update so I left it and apparently forgotten about it too.
