Question SSD doesnt work

i bought this 970 EVO NVMe M.2 500g 2-4 months ago and the first day i got it i put it in my M.2 slot (im not a professional pc builder) and it didnt work i started going on discords trying to get help no one helped me bios never recognized the ssd so if anyone could help me that would be great

specs:cpu: i7 7700k
ram 16g ddr4
MOTHERBOARD: ASUS PRIME Z390-A

are you sure you got the spec correct? that motherboard don't work with that cpu.

the motherboard have 2 m.2 slot. try them both?
