Ssd drive installed but hd is still shows as master ..

so i installed a wildfire ssd .. into my gigabyte ud5 890fx mobo .. i was using a westerndigital black drive 1tb 64mb sata3 .. but i cant get it to switch from master to slave.? any tips or tricks the only thing i can think of is putting a jumper on the drive but at the moment i dont have any ... also after doing this my usb 2.0 hard drive no longer mounts ... so im having a fun time i have updated all the hardware drivers mobo ect .. video drivers .. so what do you think it could be thats messing with this system so much? i did a fresh install onto the ssd drive and deleted the 1tb drive as it had the windows 7 professional installed on it .. but i just reinstalled and yes its oem.. lol but my issue is so i have a usb thumb drive that auto detects but the large capasity drives do not so basically i backed everything up i wanted in order to save time now i cant access either drives.. woe is me any help or ideas would be much appriciated

There is no master/slave in SATA.

Did you re-install the amd chipset driver? Also, if you want to use the USB 3.0 ports you need to re-install that driver.

For the "large" usb drives go into Windows disk management and see if they are there, if so assign them a driver letter (they need to be attached and powered on of course).
